Kentuckiana Kampground is a privately owned campground.  All visitors must register and get a parking pass.  All visitors staying past 5:00 PM on Saturdays must pay $5.00 per adult.  Children are FREE.  Visitors choosing to include the opry show are $10.00 for adults and children are FREE.

May Activities

May 5        
Hopedale Townwide Yard Sales Fri & Sat.
7:00 PM – Yahoo Bingo in Rec Hall; A Bingo card game.  Bring
5 quarters, 5 dimes and a dollar; adults only.  Come a little  early if you need change.

May 6     
9:00 AM – Bocce Ball at the East Court 
10:00 AM – Canvas Connections painting in the Rec Hall.  “Highland Cow” on 9 x 12″ canvas. All ages that can handle a paintbrush.  Project example, details and sign up sheet are in the Rec Hall.  Pre-registration is appreciated so we have enough supplies on hand. Pay upon arrival.  Cost:  $15
2:00 PM – Kentalkiana Klatch in the Rec Hall.  Coffee & cookies provided.  Topic: 2023 Campground Updates & Overview Some things old, some things new and a combination of the two.

(Limited to 30 participants)  Cost: $6 donation.  Table service provided.  Following supper, table games provided for those interested.

1:00 – 3:00 PM – Golf Cart Wash Splish splash, give your golf cart a bath!  It’s time to shine.  Come visit our cart wash by Kentuckiana kids as a fundraiser for activities.  $5.00 donation.

May 26    
7:00 PM – Kids’ Saran Wrap Ball Game in the Rec Hall

May 27   
8:00 AM – Biscuit & Gravy Breakfast and Bake Sale in the Rec Hall (until sold out) sponsored by the East Side.  All proceeds go to the activity fund.  Donations of baked goods appreciated.
8:00 AM – Flea Market set up at various campsites.  You MUST be a camper to sell fleas.
9:00 AM – Bocce Ball Meet at the East Court   
1:30 PM – Kentuckiana Kids Talent Showcase (not contest) in the Opry House.  Kids showcase their talents on the Opry stage (adults may accompany the act).  Sign up at the office by 11:00 AM) (not limited to music.  Could be whistling, hula hoop, telling a joke, dance moves, etc.)  There will be a donation jar to support the activity fund.
 7:00 PM – Outside Music Jam – K & R Country and Kentuckiana Opry members join together to bring you live music near the West Shelter.   Bring your lawn chair.  In case of inclement weather, the jam will be in the Opry building.  A donation jar will be passed.  Please show your appreciation for great live music.                                                                              
                           
May 28     
8:00 AM – Spudnuts Sunday in the Rec Hall (until sold out)
9:00 AM – Bocce Ball Tournament at the East Shelter.  Register at the Rec Hall from 8:00 to 8:30.
12:30 PM – Canvas Connections painting “Old Glory” on 16 x 20″ canvas.  Meet in the Rec Hall.  Open to all ages that can handle a paintbrush.  No experience necessary.  Painting example, details and sign up sheet are in the Rec Hall.  Please pre-register if possible so we have enough supplies for all who want to participate.  We’ll bring a few extra for walk ins.  Pay upon arrival.  Cost: $20

4:30 – 6:30 PM – National Hamburger Day Celebration Cookout/Bags Tournament & Karaoke located in the Rec Hall area.  Meal includes hamburger, potato salad, baked beans, cookie & drink.  Kids’ Hot Dog Dinner also served including hot dog, chips, popsicle.  Proceeds go to the activity fund.
 
May 29
10:15 AM – Honor Day
Please join in along the parade route down Rosemary Ct. and Country Club to honor our Kentuckiana veterans in a golf cart parade.  Veterans please gather at the Rec Hall in your cart.  Contact the office if you need a cart.  The parade will end at the Veterans tree gazebo for the TAPS Ceremony.

June 2

10:00 AM – Cupcake Decorating with Sweet Treats by Jessica at the Rec Hall.  For all ages.  Stay and decorate with us or get a “Take & Decorate Kit” to do on your own.  Pay upon arrival.  Cost: $10  Please sign up ahead of time in the Rec Hall so we can have enough to go around!  We will have a few extras for walk-ins.

6:00 PM – Cheap Date Night for Adults in the Rec Hall.  Chicken and baked potato provided.  Sign up by June 6 (Tuesday) in the office and draw what you bring to share (vegetable side, salad side, plates, silverware, dessert) Cost: $5 per couple.  Games after dinner followed by an almost-Moonlight serenade afterward.

9:00 AM – Patriotic Kids’ Bike Parade Rosemary Ct. – Country Club, loop around the lake and back to the Rec Hall.
Patriotic Golf Cart Parade immediately following the Bike Parade.
Bocce Ball at the East court immediately following the Golf Cart Parade
1:30 PM – Pie and Ice Cream Promenade Sit back and relax along the parade route to enjoy pie & ice cream served with patriotic flair.
3:00 PM – Super Soaker All kids participating in the parades get a FREE ticket to ride.

8:30 PM – Magical Tree Lighting in the Rec Hall.  Meet & Greet with Santa.  Photo ops with Santa, snacks and a Freeze Dance.
9:00 PM –  Golf Cart Christmas Parade led by Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Light up your cars with a Christmas theme and join the parade.

July 15 
9:00 AM – Bocce Ball at the East Court
9:00 AM – 3 PM – Reindeer I Spy stamp cards are at the office.  Get yours!  I I Spy can be done anytime 9-3.
9:30 AM – Donuts with Santa for kids; followed by Kids’ Christmas craft in the Rec Hall

Hot dogs; condiments, chips, marshmallows and drink;
take and go from hot dogs done in the roaster or bring your own fork to roast a hot dog and marshmallow on the fire
near the west shelter. If there is inclement weather, take and go hot dogs, chips,  and drink will be in the rec hall
7:00 pm –  Trunk or Treat in grassy area near rec hall.  Bring up your golf cart, wagon or lawn chair at 6:45 to set up if participating to pass out treats to the costumed kiddos
7:00 – 9:00 pm – Spook Holler
Wagons load at W Shelter or if you dare see more by walking it (stay on the road) or ride your golf cart
*No pets…. no masks through Spook Holler please; walkers and golf carts must stay on the road at all times

the shelter for safety reasons)

Saturday, October 21
9:00 am -2:00 pm – I Spy….. Search for the Kentuckiana Pumpkins scattered in the campground
Kids get your I Spy pumpkin stamp card at the office. Look for pumpkins scattered around the campground. As you spy
each one, stamp the matching pumpkin on your card with the stamp attached to the pumpkin and continue until you’ve
found the whole pumpkin family. Claim your treat for spying and stamping all the pumpkins at the inside office
10:00 – 11:00 am – Kids Crafts  for all ages. Meet in the rec hall.
1:00 – 2:00 pm – Inflatables by Fun on the Run for all ages young and old grassy area by rec hall. Drink and popcorn provided.
2:00 pm – Nickels in the Straw For kids 5 and under behind rec hall. Hunt for nickels in the straw by age group. (a Kentuckiana
Tradition)
3:00 pm – Kids Masquerade Parade – Meet by opry house exit door. Participants will start the parade by entering the door by
the concession stand and parade down the front of stage and then to the middle aisle to the back of the opry house. All age
groups will parade together. Participants will parade a second time through the opry house as judges select the top 6 entries. All
participants will be given a trick or treat bag and a half dollar. The top six entries will be awarded a trophy. Parade viewing- People may sit in any opry chair or bench to view the parade. Immediately following the parade in the opry house, there will be the drawings for the Fall 50/50 boards.
7:00 – 8:15 pm – Kentuckiana Opry no intermission at this show; Doors open at 6:30 with concessions available.
8:30 – 9:30 pm – Spook Holler (walk thru, golf carts, and limited wagons) Load wagons by opry house. Opry visitors will be loaded first. For registered campers and registered visitors only.
