Kentuckiana Kampground is a privately owned campground.  All visitors must register and get a parking pass.  All visitors staying past 5:00 PM on Saturdays must pay $5.00 per adult.  Children are FREE.  Visitors choosing to include the opry show are $10.00 for adults and children are FREE.

May Activities

Happy New Year Special for Nightly Campers
Camp the first 2 weekends with a special deal. Camp Happy New Year May 3 and 4 th Weekend. Leave the trailer set up May 5-9 and camp the following Mothers Day Weekend, May 10 and11th

for 25% off your total camping fee. Save on gas, time, and stress.  Only $121.50 – a savings of $40.50

May 3 
Hopedale Town-wide Yard Sales Friday and Saturday
7:00 PM – Happy New Year! Let’s ring in the new year of camping with a hoot and a holler , flashing of lights, ortooting a horn in a golf cart caravan. Meet at the rec hall. Free popcorn following the ride in the rec hall to take and enjoy at your first campfire of the season.

May 4

8:00 AM – Flea Market set up at various campsites.  You MUST be a camper to sell fleas.

1:30 PM – Kentuckiana Kids Talent Showcase (not contest) in the opry house. Kentuckiana Opry’s own Kim Bolin will be
hosting the showcase. Kids will Showcase their talents on the opry stage (adults may accompany the act ). Sign up in the office by 11:00 am. (Not limited to music- could be whistling, hula hooping, telling a joke, dance moves, etc) There will be a donation jar to support the
activity fund.  Don’t miss this special family event!

9:00 AM – Bocce Ball Tournament- at the East Shelter. Sign up in the Rec Hall 8:00-8:30.   $5.00 registration fee.

4:30 – 6:30 PM – Hamburger Day Picnic and Classic Yard Games
For all ages. In the Rec Hall and outside tables. Meal ($7.00) includes hamburger, potato salad, baked beans, cookie and drink. Tickets at the door. Hot Dog Dinner ($2.50) includes hot dog/chips/popsicle.
All proceeds go toward the activity fund.  Karaoke in the Rec Hall.
 
May 27
10:15 AM – Honor Day
Please join in along the parade route down Rosemary Ct. and Country Club to honor our Kentuckiana veterans in a golf cart parade.  Veterans please gather at the Rec Hall in your cart.  Contact the office if you need a cart.  The parade will end at the Veterans tree gazebo for the TAPS Ceremony. Taps meet at the Veterans Tree by the west Gazebo

May 31
7:00 PM – Yahoo Bingoin the Rec Hall.  A Bingo card game for adults.  Bring 5 quarters, 5 dimes and a dollar to play.  Come a little early if you need change.

10:30 AM – Pet Parade Paws for a Cause  Costumes and decorated golf carts optional. Both Golf carts with pets and walked pets are welcome. Meet at the Rec Hall to parade down Rosemary Ct and
Country Club to the west shelter. Watch the parade and join in on the 50/50 boards and donation jar to help support the Tazewell
County Animal Protective Society (TAPS).  Help support the cause by having a hot dog for lunch at the shelter. Donations accepted.
12:30 PM – Canvas Connections Painting  – “Pawsome Flowers”  See the example and sign up in the Rec Hall.  Immediately after the Pet Parade…bring your dog/cat over to the grassy area next to the Rec Hall.  We will “PRINT” your pet’s paws onto canvas (with the owner’s help) using pet-safe painting supplies.  You choose the colors.  There will be a paw clean-up area.  After printing, you’ll take your pet back to your campsite, then return with your canvas  to complete your masterpiece, in the Rec Hall, by adding floral details. All pets MUST be on a leash and not allowed to “meet each other” or play together for their safety.  Cost:  $20 (with a portion going to TAPS shelter).  If you’d like to help the dogs/cats out even more…you can bring items to donate items to TAPS. There will be a donation box for food, treats, blankets, cat litter, paper towels, beds and toys in the Rec Hall.
